Stages:
Consultation for hair transplantation: At an initial consultation, the surgeon assesses and evaluates the patient's scalp, discusses his preferences and expectations, and advises the patient for the best result. The pictures of the related former surgery are shown to the patients and the density, grafts as well as the general health condition of the patients is discussed and considered. The patient is also asked for a Laboratory medical test as follows:
CBC diff
BT, CT, PT, PTT
HIV Ab, HBS Ag, HBS Ab, HCV Ab, U/A
Surgery:
Transplant operations are performed on an outpatient basis, the surgeon considers the final examination, the patient hair is cut and the hairline is marked.
After marking the hairline, a mild anesthesia is injected to the scalp and by the means of a refined extraction tool (typically between .7mm) to extract follicular unit grafts from your donor area (the sides and back of your head). They are then transplanted into recipient sites that are created with custom cut blades or needles this pattern is called FIT.
The only difference (and this is more dependent on the clinic than the technique) is the extraction or isolation tool used to remove the follicular unit graft. The follicular are grafted and placed in the tiny holes made in the bald front parts, subsequently, the scars will be recovered in a couple of days.
