Is the hair transplant painful during the surgery or after that?
• No, since the surgeon applies the anesthesia during the surgery it will not be a painful process, few penitents declares that, a day after the hair transplant process, they had pain and needed pain relievers.
What about the use of lasers in hair transplantation?
• The two styles of hair transplantation are identical. The difference is that laser hair transplantation uses a set of machine that shoots a beam of high energy light burning slits or holes in the scalp, while the manual style is used tiny needles to make holes. The hair grafts are then transplanted into the slits manually in both styles.
Is it necessary to take any especial drug such as Minoksidol or Finastraide after surgery?
• No, if the surgeon is capable enough to transplant a sufficient amount of grafts, there remains no need for taking such drugs.
is it possible to transplant hair in scare areas?
• Yes. It is possible, we have made such surgery before, and it is suitable for those who want to fill in scars. You can see the pictures in the Gallery.
Can hair transplantation affect the rest of my hair?
• Yes. The actual physical sore of cutting the scalp, when inserting the donor grafts, can cut the shafts or damage the surrounding hair follicles. But more significant is the interruption to the pre-existing hair's blood supply which is enough to cause the shedding of this pre-existing hair. You need to choose a skilled surgeon.
Are the transplanted hairs permanent or will I face hair loss again?
• Yes, the hair remains permanent and there will be no unusual hair loss afterwards. Because the hair grafts on the sides of the head do not react the same way to DHT and are harvested from the posterior scalps that are genetically resistant to balding ,therefore they can be transferred anywhere to the recipient site while keeping such property.
Is it really necessary to cut hairs before this surgery?
• Yes. It is quiet necessary to cut hairs before surgery to prevent wound or graft infections. Any advertisement about keeping the hairs unshaven or cut for the surgery is quite nonscientific.
Can the transplanted hair be cut or shaved?
• Yes. The hair transplanted for restoring eye lashes, eye brows, and beard hair can be treated as natural hair. You can easily wash or cut them.
Which one is better FIT or FUT?
• In fact both techniques are identical in the stage of transplantation. The difference refers to the type of harvesting hair from posterior areas. Unfortunately, some hair transplant doctors have used the term “FIT” as a marketing tool to promote a supposedly superior technique over FUE.
• Follicular Unit Transplantation or FUE is a modern hair restoration technique where the hair is transplanted in groups of 1-4 hairs – exactly as it grows in nature. Both hair restoration procedures work by using a refined extraction tool (typically 7mm) to extract follicular unit grafts from your donor area (the sides and back of your head). They are then transplanted into recipient sites that are created with blades or needles.
• The only difference (and this is more dependent on the clinic than the technique) is the extraction tools used to remove the follicular unit graft.
